Can anyone tell me how to correct the problem where the Outlook wont pick up
email addresses in the registry. It has in the past. But refuses to do so now.

Tried to correct problem with Detect & Repair. This failed and is now
demanding the CD with SKU111.CAB on it. Can the Detect & Repair mode be
"switched off" in the registry?

Thanks in advance.

In general, addresses aren't kept in the registry. Please explain what you
mean.

Hi Brian,

The email settings are in the Outlook OMI Account Manager key.

If a new account is found in there, Outlook usually throws a window saying
something similar to "Outlook has found a new account in the registry. Would
you like to import it?

However at the moment, it is not doing this.

Each year I usually go in and delete all accounts from OL and then go to my
server and CONFIGURE EMAIL CLIENT. Then I restart OL and it shows up the
window and I have all the current email settings.

"Outlook wont pick up email addresses in the registry"
What exactly do you mean?
Exact err msgs?
You ran Detect/Repair using Office CD?
"Switched off in the registry"
What exactly do you mean

If you want help always best to give your OL version and exact err msgs,
rather than somewhat oblique statements

I'm under the impression that that particular registry key applies only to
Outlook 2000 in Internet Mail Only mode. Is that what you're using?
