Registry permissions

I am unable to find a way to set NTFS perm's on a registry key(s). I thought there was a "security" or "permissions" selection in edit or via right click, but no go. On W2K, using regedit, there is no security area, however using regedt32, there is a security area. In XP, regedit and regedt32 both open regular regedit. Any ideas? I enventually had to do a remote registry connection via a W2K server, and that did the trick, but I don't always have that luxury!

When I tried running regedt32, there was a "Permissions"
option under the Edit menu. There should be one for you
too. If not, something is filtering it.
