Brought back someone's Access.mdb to my desk to design & add some more
reports.
Standard split db 2 apps ; one a front end and one the back end .
However this FE won't open - upon open process it says it can not find
R:\FileName in the registry. Of course it is the owner's path info (I
don't have the R
This isn't an organic Access failure - the user
forewarned me that an earlier designer several years past had embedded in it
to look for the back end with this registry....I've just never seen this
before......
Because I can't open it - I can't going into the Access program to get it to
stop looking for it when it opens........would welcome advice on
this issue.... how can I get into the code to find & turn off this embedded
searching in the FE?...no problem with the BE...that I can open no problem
