registry integrity and application paths

hi
i need help with registry integrity and application path,i went to pc
doctor on call and he says i have missed files please help

This error occurs when I try to install windows XP(from a
formated hardrive that used to have XP on it.ONe error
that I get is: Error:
The signature for Windows XP edition Setup is invalid. The
error code is fffffdf0.
Another that I get is:Fatal Error:
Setup failed to install the product catalogs. This is a
fatal error. The setup log files should contain more
information.
I have to change the name of a file to fix this, using
command prompt. Whenever I type the correct command, it
says Access is denied. For more information on the error
messages, type kberrmsg kbprb kbsetup KB307153in on the
search bar(on the microsoft web site)
