Registry Error

I also receive an error when setting up a new
user on the XP workstation having to do with the
registry. It tells
me the following error:

"Error in registry for extension "Exchange
Extensions;?". The syntax
or format of the registry is incorrect. Check the
registry settings
and compare the registry for this extension to others in
the
registry."

After doing a search through the registry I found this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Exte
nsions\Exchange
Extensions

There was a square (sort of like a formatting character)
in the value
field. Has anyone experienced that? If there is anyone
out there
with the same problem, check that key to see if you have
something
similar

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I had the same problem today (including the Outlook 2003
error message on startup and the square character in the
registry key value). I fixed it by copying the following
string from another machine:

4.0;emsuix32.dll;7;011111111111110;1111011100

Note: I haven't checked whether the fields in this string
vary from machine to machine etc., but it is presumably
user independent as it was in HKLM.

Hope that helps

Cheers
