I have window xp and when I restart my computer it has error message for the
registry, no error numbers. Just says registry error. How do I do a registry
scan to check for this or whatever it takes to correct this problem.

Thanks
Jeff

Hi!Goldnstar!
you may download "Registry Mechanic" from
http://www.pro-networks.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14324
Registry Mechanic will scan your entire registry for any invalid entries
and provides a list of the errors found, you can then choose to
selectively clean each item or automatically repair them all.

Hi
If the system is not starting up to the desktop, try a repair installation
from the bootable CD.

More details on the exact error message you're getting would be helpful.

Have you tried a boot to 'Last Known Good Configuration? (after hitting
F8 as BIOS info goes to black screen). Or booting there to Safe mode,
taking the Administrator logon, which ought to give an immediate
opportunity to run System Restore and so go back a couple of days to a
good registry
