I hope someone can help me. I get the following message and I can't seem to
be able to correct it. Anyone knows what it means and how to correct it. This
is FP2002

Server Error: Error 2 Opening registry key " Software\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\Web Server Extensions\Ports\Port.

I followed the path in Regedit. However, every thing is the same until I get
to ports\ports. I have this instead Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web
Server Extensions\Ports\Port/LM/W3SVC/1:

Thanks

The key you find is correct. What are the values in the right pane when you click the key to open
it??

Also, you might run FrontPage repair / reinstall from Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

Steve,

Thanks for answering. This is what appears in my registry under that key:

Default>>>>>> Value Not Set
Authoring>>>>>Enabled
FrnotPage Root>>>>>C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server
Extensions\80
Serverconfig>>>>blank
Servertype>>>>>msiis

Also, have you ever used JIMCO OPEN WEB?

Thanks for your assistance

Are you editing against a server that is not running on your PC? If so, you
need to check the registry on the server.

I believe the error is in the file path, there is no C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Web Server Extensions\80

There is however:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50

Check your machine in windows explorer for the file path C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
Shared\Web Server Extensions

and see which folders are available it should be 40, 50 and 60 and then edit the registry entry to
match one that you have.

Then reboot and try.

As for using Jimco Web open, No.
