Hi

I was just wondering, I ran Lavasoft Ad-aware and it came up with critical
errors, which were all in the registry. I cleared them and was interested to
see if they were infact deleted from the registry, which they were, however,
in searching, it brought to me another question....under the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\P3P\History

There are ALL sorts of undesirable websites. Have these websites been
visited on our computer, or are these sites blocked?? If you need examples, I
will give them to you, but they are certainly not sites I would go to and was
just wondering where they come from, if they have in fact been visited with
this computer, or being blocked.

If they are set to 5, it means Always Block. This is one of the ways that
SpywareBlaster blocks unwanted crap. Other antispyware progams can do the
same thing. But I cannot think of any other program names just now.

Duh. I have the free version of Ad-Aware, so I do not had AdWatch, which
might do the same thing.

[[Privacy in Internet Explorer 6
Internet Explorer 6 added a Privacy tab to give users more control over
cookies. There are different levels of privacy on the Internet zone, and
they are stored in the registry at the same location as the security zones.

You can also add a site to allow or to block cookies based on the site,
regardless of the privacy policy on the Web site. Those registry keys are
stored in the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\P3P\History

Listed under this key are domains that have been added as a managed site.
These domains can carry either of the following DWORD values:

0x00000005 - Always Block
0x00000001 - Always Allow ]]

Example >>>

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\P3P\History\2o7.net
Value Name: (Default)
Value Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: 5

This is the list of Managed Web sites from >>>

Internet Properties | Privacy tab | Web Sites Edit button | Managed Web
sites | 2o7.net
