Registry entries gone after reboot on Windows 2003 Server

N

Neil W.

Some (but not all) of my software installation registry changes are gone
after a reboot on a Windows 2003 Server cluster. I have never seen this
before. I don't think it has anything to do with a corrupted registry
because it is happening on both machines in the cluster.

I heard that this might have something to do with Group Policy but I haven't
got the slightest idea where to start looking.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.

Run the Group Policy Management Console

against your AD, it will tell what if any GPOs exist.

Any GPO that is applied to the OU where you nodes reside - even from the
Domain level.

Or you can use RSoP within GPMC :)
