Registry Cleaner

Could anyone tell me a good registry and temp file
cleaner for windows XP. I was using jv16power tools with
ME. Also how do you stop the emails coming in with that
Swen virus attachments.

I have been using RegScrubXP (free DL) and have found this to be ok -
However; several of the MVP's that contribute to this NG have recommended
not to use any registry cleaner.

I have used Easycleaner for my 98se system for many years and for XP. The
only quirk with XP is that you lose the "help and support" but you can
easily restore it. I have never had major problems with 98se or XP because
of it's use.

I also use Window Washer to clean temp files etc without any problems.

That's a conservative view, Im guessing, advice meant for the masses.
Personally, I like registry cleaners and use a few of them. However, I
wouldn't leave a customer with one I've used on their system. Nor would
I recommend my Mom to install one, even the
"conservative" ones.
