System Mechanic (www.iolo.com) includes an excellent registry
cleaner/optimizer program. It is designed for Windows XP and
includes an "undo" backup feature you can use in the event you
need to restore registry entries that were errantly removed.

| Hi all,
|
| any good recommendations for XP registry cleaner ?
|
| thanks

I have System Mechanic on my pc. But it`s my opinion, that the registry
cleaner is only for experts. Registry cleaner found 55 items in my registry,
but having little experience, I don`t dare to eliminate anything, even with
the option to restore.
Any comments ??? Phil

I have used System Mechanic's registry cleaner for months now, without any
issues. Also make sure you have it set to back up what it deletes, so you
can revert back should it cause an issue.
As always, your mileage may vary. Imho, any registry cleaner can have
problems at times.
