It's odd. The most common PC troubles I encounter are machines gummed
up with crapware that falsely bills itself as performance enhancements,
spyware scrappers or the ever popular registry cleaner.

You mean the kind of SPAM people propagate by re-publishing links to the
SPAMmers website?
