Registering Microsoft XP

I purchased an "open box" laptop, and the previous
purchaser registered the operating system (Microsoft XP
Pro) under his name. How can I re-register the product
under my name?

While the other reply will fix your problem. The best
thing to do is use your recovery CD to completely re-
install the system. This way you KNOW that there are no
little demons hiding on the system waiting to wreak havoc
