i just got the new xp and want to register it ...but don't
know how....the person who put it on my system is not
available for 2 months.....does anyone know how I can
register my XP? thanks Diane

Hi Diane,

Registration is not required, activation is. If you wish to register you can
go to Help and Support on your start menu and type in "registration" (no
quotes". That will open a page with a link to the registration wizard. There
may be a shortcut to it on your All Programs menu. I would have removed it
from mine so, I can't say for sure.

Open the Help and Support Center (Start > Help and Support) and search for
the word 'registration' (without the quotes.) You'll find an article called
'Using online registration' that explains everything you need to know.
