Regional Settings

This has probably been tossed around many times, but I have a problem with
Regional Settings.

We work with other organizations around the world that, naturally, use their
own regional settings. The primary problem this poses is when resolving dates
in applications like Microsoft Office. Some countries use a mm/dd/yyy syntax,
while others use dd.mm.yyyy.

My questions is: is there any way to configure Regional Setting to recognize
multiple settings, or are you stuck with one?

there is a newsgroup specifically for ms office...... i don't know the url
but it is provided and located on the right hand side somewhere in the
msoffice websites at microsoft.com While you are there you might want to
search "troubleshooting regional settings" or something....

This is not an Office question. Regional Settings are Windows based. I used
Office as an example only.

i think you simply have to use the office(s) find and replace feature for
finding the foreign date and replacing with the "english" style date....

(to date i don't understand why we still refer to our multi cultural
language as "english" it should be now called Americana or American
Language. Do we speak English or American? Are we known through out the
world as Englishmen or Englishwomen or AMERICANS...? Who is with me !! )
