Regedit search does not reveal RH pane entries.

I used 'Find next' in Regedit to search for Symantec Registry entries
but it seems to miss RH pane entries that have Symantec as part of the
path,viz, My
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers

but double clicking VDD in RH pane revealed a Symantec entry which I
then deleted. How do I find other such entries?
This is all part of trying to cure a 16 bit Virtual Machine .DLL
initialization error.

Press Ctrl/F and make sure "Keys", "Values", and "Data" are all checked.

Elmo,
Thanks, that found the rest of the Symantec entries which I deleted
however, doing so did not stop the VM error messages, viz:
C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\STARTM~1\Programs\CIRCUI~1\SHORTC~1.PIF
for Electronic Workbench and
C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\S32EVNT1.DLL. An installable Device Driver failed
Dll initialization. Choose 'Cloas' to terminate the application.
for Tdes & Currents or Navmaster III.
In either case choosing 'Ignore' allows the application to run OK.
Is there a way to fix these problems? I have the Win 3.1 source discs.

Delete the C:\PROGRA~1\Symantec\ folder and in Regedit, look for and
delete S32EVNT1.DLL That way XP won't try to start a missing .dll.

Elmo,
I've searched and searched for any reference to S32EVNT1.DLL without
avail. I've also looked in BOOT.INI, WIN.INI without finding any
reference. Is there a log program that would reveal the loading attempt?

Another program might be calling for that .dll then. I believe Symantec
has utilities to remove their software.. try their site.

I fixed the VM .dll problem by looking what my laptop's VDO entries were
and then copying them to my desktop's registry.
