regedit problem

here is the message i get Windows cannot find "regedit". Make sure you typed
the name correctly, and try again. To search for a file click the start
button, and then click search. Is there anyway of gettting this back?

Go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:regedit.exe Then press enter key.

tried it he is what comes up

c:documents and settings\george>regedit.exe
'regedit.exe'is not recogonized as an internal or external command

Try typing the complete path in the Run box:

c:\windows\regedit.exe

If that works, your "path" variable needs to be fixed. Post back here if it
works that way,
