I'm using Win XP SP2 with Outlook 2003. I just purchased some
software on line and they emailed me a REG file to register and unlock
the software.

The problem is Outlook is displaying:
"Outlook blocked access to the following potentially unsafe
attachments: xxxxxxxxx.REG"

I realized this is a good idea, but how do I get my registration code
now?

See http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm on how to
edit the registry so you can unblock them. If you don't like
editing the registry, there is a link on the getexe.htm page to
Ken Slovak's Attachment Options Outlook Addin. Allows you to
configure the feature from within Outlook.

Thanks! That worked. You are a life saver. I thought I'd have to
try and contact Software Co. for a re-issue of REG key.

Problem is that a REG file is a registry file. They should not use that
extension. When you access it, right click on it and choose Edit instead of
Merge. Or ask them to resend it in text format.
