Refreshing Page Resets clock

I have a site with a countdown clock - Each time the page is reloaded,
refreshed or returned to, the clock resets to the original time. Is there
any way to set the clock so it continues the countdown while without
resetting? i.e. 10 minute clock resets and the time starts over any time
someone laves the page and comes back.
Thanks,
Gramps

Not possible.

What is the purpose of this countdown clock on this page?

Just a thought and may be not agodo one

What if he countdown clock were in a frame, and the rest of the site in
another frame

Wouldn't reloading the rest of the site *not* affect the clock in the first
frame ?

That might be a solution, but a nested frameset is asking for problems...

Get a different clock, or read the description of the javascript you found
more carefully.

You got a "Timer" clock, not a "countdown" clock. Timer is like a baking
timer, it tells you how long you did something. Countdown takes your
computer clock time, compares it to a defined time, and clocks out the
difference.

They are two entirely different javascripts and you got the wrong one.
Delete it and go find the proper one. (Try searching Google for "javascript
countdown")
