my original operation system was windows me. I upgraded
to xp then removed it. then put on 2000 but it installed
a second version. so now i have windows me that isn't
working properly and windows 2000 that won't let me
install the norton that I got with ME. I need to reformat
the hard drive and then reinstall my original ME. I don't
know how to do this. Can someone help?

If you insert the Windows ME cd in your machine and select
install, the program should ask you if you want to
reformat the hard drive. Select yes making sure the
Windows program is installing a fresh copy to the Win
directory .000 not .001 after the format.

an easier way is to boot from a win98 floppy and run format c: then just
type fdisk/mbr after the format .. and it's a standard fat 32 partition
again

Is there anyone that knows how i can reach file located system
how can i change it by a program (if there is a program that can do it
please send its code to me)
i am using fat32
Not : i knew it is posible to do it over ms dos with a little c program.(I
saw it while my teacher was doing, but he don't want to tell it to me)
if you know how to do,please tell it to me

thanks

What are we trying to do here now? What does "reach file located system"
mean?
