Without viewing the contents of your CD it's hard to say. But generally -
yes!

Check with the documentation that came with your computer. Some Restore CDs
are simply an image of the system state at the time of purchase and others
give you other options as well as a complete Restore.

What makes you think it is time to reformat? Technically there is not set
time that one must reformat. Sometimes one can fix problems without doing a
reinstall and other times it is a quicker fix to simply bite the bullet,
wipe everything out and start over.

If it is like most restore disks, it should put it back into exactly the
same shape as when you got it new.

Everything you added or changed, such as new programs and addresses books,
etc., will have to be reentered.

You would have to reinstall all the applications that you use. They more than
likely not included on the cd.

Make sure that you backup your data or else it would be lost

Why? It's almost always a mistake.

reformat will the disk i have put everything back on there or
not.

What do you mean by "everything"? You will lose all your
installed programs, data files, etc.

Make sure you always have a current and complete backup of all data you
can't afford to loose.
