Hi all, First I hope I am in the right forum. I am a OAP and my son has given me his 2 year old desktop which has Windows XP Media edition on and a few programmes I do not wan't and it has its own recovery disk which puts everything back on, and when I tried to reformat the hard disk with it. What I would like to do is to do a straight reformat.
I have my own Windows XP disk which I want to put on.

Every time I have tried to reformat I get the same answer NO.

Can anyone help please?

Re above I have managed to get XP Home on my hard disk but it has gone into a naw another patrition,3 and XP Media is in partition 2, now how do I get rid of Partition 2 please.
