Reformat + activate? Help please?

I recently finished building a new computer system and I
accidentally created a massive driver conflict in my
system. I have tried many times uninstalling the drivers
completely and even manually removing the files from
C:/WINDOWS/system32 and it still fails to work. I want
to reformat my hard drive to fix this conflict but I do
not want to have to reactivate Windows (yes I did
purchase a full, legal, licensed copy) because I don't
think it will let me. I have tried going back through a
system restore point and it changed nothing. Is there
any way for me to restore my original Windows folder
without reformatting completely?

My computer:
Intel 2.4A ghz 1mb L2 Cache 533mhz FSB Prescott Core
Elixir 512mb PC2700 DDR RAM
ABIT VT7 Motherboard
Powercolor Radeon 9800se VPU 256-bit 128mb "C3"
Alliance 350w PSU
....blahblahblah other peripherals..
