Refilled

OEM carts work very well for refilling. Be sure to refill before you get
the low ink or empty message.

OEM carts are the best because of their dual-sponge construction and
other issues.

Even if they stop working after some refillings, you can wash them
using Grandad's method (at the nifty forum) and they will get back in
top condition!

The regulars were right measekite, you are history for me. I usually
don't have a problem with trolls, but you are not just a troll, you are
a moron.

The guy is telling you that two sets of cartridges are more expensive
than a printhead (which isn't going to clog you moron, everyone can do
it but you) and you reply that he is using "AFTERMAR4KER INKIE".

You lack in argument, logic, common sense, spelling and even style.

Any response in your posts is a waste of time.
Eventually, everyone comes to this conclusion. he is a moron.

I second that emotion. I use HobbiColors too and the luxury of printing
anything I want, regardless of size or quantity, is no longer a luxury
but an everyday experience when using good refill ink (not the
"universal" or "works in every printer type", but a cartridge specific
ink. It costs virtually nothing to print. I chuckle when I see posts
regarding "cost per page" comparisons. With refill ink, it costs
something like $1 per cartridge fill. At that price no one cares about
cost per page. It's basically useless to even calculate cost per
cartridge. Sadly, I have nothing to print at the moment . . . Burt,
you got anything? . . . Tony? . . . Zakezuke? . . . :)

Hey thanks for the offer, I have for some time now been wondering whether I
should convert my 12GB of tech manuals into a more user friendly format, like
paper.
Trouble is I would have to buy several very large bookshelves and lots of
binders. I have printed off some parts of some manuals that I need regularly
and they form a three wide stack about 2 feet high.
I doubt that is more than about 100MB worth.
So if your offer is genuine just look out for the truck with 2 pallet loads of
paper in your neighbourhood soon! You won't be able to miss it, it has a large
picture of a tiger eating a pathetic little troll on its sides. That is the
truck I will have to use when making on-site visits so I can carry the manuals!

ps. Have you got a printer with duplexing and automatic stapling, sure would
save me some time.
Many thanks.

I'm sorry, the person once known as "Taliesyn" no longer exists in this
newsgroup. Please hang up your keyboard and dial again . . .

Seriously, that is more data than my mind can picture at the moment.
I was speaking more in terms of "fun" things to print. :)

But what I usually do when I occasionally print out a software manual,
for example, I put in one of those cheaper dye BCI-3e black cartridges
for the pigmented one. I have a collection of them lying around and get
some use out of them that way. Text isn't as nice but who cares, it's
just for me.

Automatic stapling?.... Sure, I improvised. I screwed a large stapler to
the output tray. So when the specified amount of sheets run through I
slam my left fist down on the stapler and presto! we have stapled
sheets. Okay, the staples are a tad off, like smack in the middle of the
page. But I'm still ironing out the bugs. Actually, I stapled a few
too. (Ah, just kidding about the whole stapler bit. Kids, don't try this
with your daddy's printer, please!)

You know, I don't think we're too far off from seeing automatic
stapling. But, I can firmly tell you right now, I'll NOT paying 39.95
for a small box of 1000 OEM staples!!!! Yes, I know the aftermarket
ones will "clog" the stapler, but we've been through all this before. WE
ALL KNOW CLOGGING IS A MYTH FABRICATED (INVENTED) BY THE TROLL (EATEN BY
THE TIGER) ON TONY'S TRUCK.

Oh, all right then!
I cancelled the delivery.

BTW HP make automatic staplers mainly for their larger printers and they don't
trap your fingers unless you really do something silly, not sure whether there
are aftermarket staples available for them........hmmmm there's an idea!

I just did the wash technique that Grandad wrote up at the nifty forum on 20
carts. One set of six was the original set that came with my i960 printer
in October, 2004. They have had many refills and one was starting to have
feed problems. After purging them they now work perfectly - as new. They
have actually outlasted the printer they came with.

Hey - if the printer can make every color from slightly off white to
dead black with three colors of ink I'm sure you can do it too.
You've opened up a whole new vista for the "aftermarket club!"

I guess I'll be one of the first to unveil CYM painting or CYM
Watercolors, or what have you...

-Taliesyn

Make sure you paint on "inkjet" papers.
