Refetching pop3 emails left on server

How do I refetch (fetch again) emails that I've left on the server? I am
attempting to configure Outlook and would like to use emails on the server
as tests of folders, filters (rules) etc?

As it stands now, the first fetch will retrieve emails from the server but
when I delete these emails from the INBOX then try to fetch the from the
server again, nothing comes down even though I have instructed Outlook to
leave messages on server. I have confirmed that the messages are being left
on the server by visiting the server.

TIA

Probably the easiest way is to create a new Outlook profile with a new data
file and point it at that POP account so it can download again.

Ben,

I'm using MS Office Outlook 2003 (11.6568.6568) SP2 as it states in
HELP>ABOUT.

Your suggestion above may work but I can't help but think there must be a
setting somewhere in Outlook to accomplish the same thing. Or, might there be
a log of received emails somewhere in Outlook which could be erased to make
Outlook forget it fetched those emails?

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Jack

The data for received e-mails is stored in the data store itself -- but it's
not user accessible. The only easy way to erase that info is to erase the
whole data store which is probably not what you're hoping for.

No settings in Outlook for it.

Well, thanks anyway Ben. I'll just have to switch back and forth between
Outlook and my current email client which I'll use to send dummy emails to be
fetched by outlook.

I appreciate your help,
Jack
