Referencing a drop down list box selection

M

Michele

I am creating a form in Word that consists of drop down list boxes (user
selection), as well as paragraphs of text that need to reference the drop
down list box value that the user selected. At this point, I have created
the drop down list boxes and tagged each one with a bookmark. However, when
I use REF to reference the bookmarks, I end up with a drop down list box
instead of the value that was selected by the user from the original drop
down list box. How do I solve this problem? Thanks!

The properties of the dropdown form field will have a name - by default
Dropdown1 - use this name in your REF field and check the calculate on exit
check box of the dropdown field in order to do update the ref field.
