I have a group of databases that have loosely related information for
research and analysis only -- no other users will access. Some databases
approach 100MB, even after compacting are over 30MB; some queries produce as
many as one-half million records.

I have created a central database which contains standard tables and
functions needed by all databases. My problem is that, despite selecting the
central database in Tools|References, the non-central databases don't
recognize the function.

Hi,

With my shared Access 'library' code I put the functions in MDEs & reference
them, rather than reference the MDB & it works fine.

The 'standard' tables I would store centrally & link/copy as required (the
MDE may also make reference to them - I have a 'holidays' MDE that does just
that).

Thanks & regards,

Chris.
