Hi, I am struggle with Excel 2002 - can anyone help!!!
I am trying to reference data on a seperate worksheet within the same
workbook, but want to be able to select which workbook the data is
selected from.
i.e. I have a worksheet for each month of the year, then a summary
sheet which does various things. One of the things it does is pick up
the date of the first working day of the month, which will always be on
the same cell in each workbook.
What I want to do is have a pick form list on the summary sheet and
have the cell reference use the pick from list for workbook name.
Obviously, the pick from list contains the names of the worksheets
which are January, Febuary, March etc...
so I am looking for something like =$c$1!a2
where C1 is the pick from list ie value = December and I want to look
at cell a2 in December.
I tried the above formula but it does not work.
Does anyone know a simple way to do this??
Thanks,
Mark
