Reference formatting

Hi,
I am inserting endnote references in W2003. However, endnote leaves two line
and start from 3rd line and does same for each new page. I have looked at
fields and for hidden text but cannot find any. If i use a new document i
have no such problem. Any idea how can i get rid of these two extra lines in
the current document.

Thanks

Cannot be sure without seeing the file, Bivragh, but I suspect that this has
something to do with your Endnote style in this current document. Try
modifying the style to have "0" (zero) space before the paragraph.

Hope it helps!

Hi,

I havent deleted the line on each page. There are two lines after the line
and then endnote start. I chekced the style formatting, and 0pt space is
current formatting. When i try to view footnote it doesnt show me the window
as given in
ttp://www.word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/FootnoteFAQContent.htm#RandomLines
it say you have footnote and endnote in the document and select which one I
want to see, after that it take me directly to the endnote.

Any other suggestions

thanks

Did you go into View | Normal before selecting View | Footnotes? Then
you should get the pane shown in the webpage. If you have both footnotes
and endnotes in your doc, I suppose it may work differently.

So, if that doesn't work, stay in View | Normal. Create an endnote, and
the endnote pane should show up for you to enter the text. Then you can
use those instructions to access the separator.

View | Normal is the one that does not look like a real page at all, but
just a stream of text with no left margin.
