Suddenly, lots of my email has txt attachments that contain the same text
that the email contains. Kind of redundant. And I realy liked being able to
quickly spot items having attachments. Now they all have attachments. Why is
this?

When receiving or sending?
Version of Outlook?
Account type?

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Sorry, that's when I receive messages.
Type of account is POP/SMTP.
Outlook version is 2002 SP3
I think it's happening only on plain text messages.

It's an issue when you've got Outlook open for a really long time. More
likely the issue is being caused by a virusscanner that integrates with
Outlook. See the documentation of the virusscanner on how you can disable
this integration properly and see if it still happens.

I run AVG with the email scanner plugin disabled. I understand it's
redundant.
And restarting Outlook seems to have no effect on this.

Any other ideas?

Does the attachment also show up when you look at the mail through the
webbased mailclient provided by your ISP?

The problem seems to have stopped after a reboot, along with another problem
I've been having, where MSWord as mail editor refuses to start.
