redirecting lpt1 port to usb/serialparraleladapterport

have an old dos program that only prints to lpt1
have a laptop with a usb ro serialparralel adapter that forces you to use a
port called
usb to parallel. is there a macro or something that can be written to
redirect that
which automatically goes to lpt1( from old dos program) to the other port in
order for it to print out to whatever printer is attached to the paralllel
port.
