Don't worry, I shall translate Mario the Computer Engineer's broken english
into valid english:

Mario Says: "Aero and sidebar are frickin' useless"

Mario? Did I get it right?

Nobody is holding a gun to anyone's head to use Aero. The OP can use the
Windows Classic UI if they're dissatisfied with Aero, for whatever reason.
No big deal.

I think Mario has a point. The 3D functionality in WPF is only used in one
place in the new UI - the 3D flip. It does seem strange that they
implemented all that new functionality and then hardly used it in Vista.

I understand MS tried all sorts of sexy, whizzy graphics in their useability
labs, but found that most of them caused confusion and actually reduced
productivity. Maybe that's the explanation.

Any other thoughts?

Whilst his English wasn't brilliant I could understand it.
Also, this isn't a English language only newsgroup.
I wonder how many languages you can communicate effectively in with
native speakers?

True as this company is now directing users around the world to here, and...

So true, I ask myself all the time :)

Do you understand Homer ???

Yes he can, but that still doesn't change the fact that Aero, Flip3D, and the
sidebar are pretty frickin' useless.

Mario, in his own English-deficient manner, is simply echoing the thoughts of
everyone who launches Vista for the first time expecting these features to do
something useful, or even just to look remotely cool, and is sadly
disappointed.

I mean come on, if a developer told you they'd been working on redesigning
the Windows UI for the past five years and all they had to show for it is
transparent borders and that you can hit Tab+Windows and see this lame 3D
thing, you'd fire them on the spot.
