Red x's instead of images in Explorer

I have 2 computers running XP pro, one computer has SP2 installed and the
other does not. I am suddenly having problems viewing images on web pages on
both computers. Some images show up fine and others just have a red x. I know
that there is not a problem with the web pages I am viewing. Also if I
refresh the page the image that is broken now will show up but another image
will be broken. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

It can be several issues, but you might start by updating to the latest
version of Acrobat Reader.

I updated my Acrobat Reader but it didn't seem to fix the problem. Any other
ideas what might be causing it?

Did it happen after you upgraded to SP-2? If so it may be a problem
with the security settings. As I recall SP-2 changed a number of security
settings including some for displaying graphics. When asked during
installation I opted to allow some of the settings to remain as they were.
