RED X on network Drive

windows 2000 - I keep getting the red X on the network
drive within 10 sec of accessing the mapped drive, but you
can still open the mapped drive. Other applications
thinks the drive is in use.

I'm still having the same problem as well, I have done net
server config /autodisconnect:-1 which is recommended on
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;138365 . I have added /persistent:yes to the end of
the command. I've also disconnected my drive, manually
mapped it and same issue. This does not happen to all my
machines either. I read somewhere else that the user may
need domain admin rights which were given also. No luck
yet!
