red question mark over mapped drive icon

Hi,

A couple of our machines keep displaying a red question
mark over some mapped drive icons.

The mapped drive still seems to work but I was just
wondering what the question mark means.

XP will show a red X for a disconnected drive but can't find anything on a
red question mark in the MS Knowledge Base. Google is giving me "red
question mark" hits that lead to threads that mention RedHat and the Novell
packages.

While it's possible that Event Viewer may make a mention of the mapped
drive issue, it's more likely that you will find an explanation in logs or
management consoles provided by the software that generates the red
question mark.
