A policeman was left red faced after accidentally shooting his wife in the backside while showing off his gun.
William Owens, from Harrisburg in Pennsylvania, was flashing his lethal weapon to visitors at a home cook-out when he accidentally shot his wife in the bottom.
The policeman, who has been suspended without pay, could be charged if the court finds that he acted recklessly, Disctrict Attorney Ed Marsico said.
“Whether this is criminal or not, a police officer should have known better,” he added.
