red and green dotted underlining

Red underlining is spelling that isn't recognised and green is grammar that
doesn't comply with the grammar rules that Word is using.
You can switch both these options off in Tools > Options > Spelling and
grammar - untick the options to check spelling or grammar as you type.

Red underlining indicates a misspelled word (right click on the word and you
will get alternate spelling choices) and green underlining indicates a
grammatical error (again, right click and you will get suggestions).

Hope this helps.
