Recycle Bin

When I go to my recycle bin nothing is there although I know I have deleted
items. I checked my space allocation and that is at the default level of 10%.
I changed it to 20% with no results. Any help in understanding and correcting
this problem is appreciated....gary

Check the configuration of the Recycle Bin. Perhaps it has been set up
to permanently bypass the Bin.

Thanks Gerry...I did what you suggested, checked all my settings, confirmed
that ther recycle bin is not to be bypassed, ran a test file deletion from
word processor but it did not show up in the recycle bin where before this
problem it had. I checked other users on computer and they don't have
anything in their recycle bin either. Does this problem have anything to do
with the registry? gary

I have the identical problem. My recycle bin is not being bypassed. I have
deleted files but when I open the recycle bin, no files appear. And my files
are not "hidden". The files used to appear so something has changed. Any
ideas?

Note: Files that were previously deleted will be permanently erased from the Recycle
Bin.

Create a notepad document and save it (any name will do).
Now delete the file so that it goes to the recycle bin.
Empty the recycle-bin.

To test, create another file and then delete it – does it now show up in the recycle
bin?

I found another posting that told me to close explorer and delete the
recycler folders in all the drives. Then restart explorer and everything now
works fine.

I had the same problem in Norton Protected Recycle Bin.
Right click recycle bin icon and select unerase wizard. Search for a file
you have recently deleted. When search has finished do not restore found
file, just exit. Click recycle bin icon select open and you should see your
deleted files
