Hi, I'm running XP Pro, and I have a problem with my recycle bin.
If I open the Recycler folder on the system drive, there are a number of
folders with registry-key-type names.
One of these is causing the problem.
When I right-click and select properties on this folder, the dialog box
starts counting the number of folders withing the folder.
After a few minutes, (when the count is massive) the PC BSOD's.
Im guessing this is some corruption in the file system, because the recycle
bin thinks it's empty.
I've tried running chkdsk (at boot time, because it's the system disk), but
it reports no errors.
It's really irritating because virus checking, disk cleanup, spyware
removal etc. all dissappear off into this bottomless pit and BSOD
eventually.
Anyone got any ideas?
