My recycle bin seems to be currupted on two of my eight drives. I have SP2
and all current updates, So how di I get this fixed? I have tried repair
options from the XP disk but didn't want to loose my data so never did a full
install again.

I didn't see anything that would help under your search. However I did my own
already and microsoft says: (too bad I have every patch)

SYMPTOMS
When you perform delete operations on files or folders, you may receive the
following error message:
The Recycle Bin on drive letter:\ is corrupt or invalid. Do you want to
empty the Recycle Bin for this drive?
This problem is more likely to occur if your computer has drive letters that
have been created by using the Subst.exe tool.

This problem may also occur when drives are remapped by Citrix.
CAUSE
This problem can occur when the logical drive that is referenced is an NTFS
drive and there was an error in a permissions-compare operation.
RESOLUTION
• Windows XP Patch
• Windows 2000 Patch

Windows XP
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows XP. For

Just delete the recycle bin directory.

CMD

RMDIR C:\RECYCLER /S /Q

Delete something. You'll get a message saying the recycle bin needs
formatting, click ok/yes, then all will be good again.

Might be an idea to check your disk in the process.
