Windows Mail is not good at reporting errors caused by interference from
antivirus programs well. What if any antivirus programs do you have?

Does your connection to that server cross over from one internet provider's
equipment to another's on the way to the server? If so, such connections
to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers.

Do you have outgoing messages piling up in your Outbox and not actually
going out? To make sure, try sending yourself a message and see if it
arrives in your Inbox in a reasonable time. Also, click on the Outbox,
then View, then Current View, then Show All Messages.

If it's exactly the same, then the same answers should apply to you.
If not, same type of error message often isn't close enough - we
need parts of the error message many users don't think are
significant.

Change the name of the outgoing mail server from mail.brucedorey.com
to the name of the outgoing (SMTP) server provided by your ISP.
