recreating my home network

I am new to networking and I am thinking about deleting my network from my
computers and starting over.
I have two computers with XP Home. oner computer with XP Pro and one
computer with Win 98.
I want to delete all the paths and start over because it looks like that
some where down the line I have a Home and a MShome network. I have
installed other drives in my so called test computer and had them on the
network but need to delete those as well.

Anyway my question is this. Is there anything special I need to do or not do
to remove these from the network? Is there a help page that I can go to and
recreate my netork and do it right this time? Just how do I do this?
Any help is very much appreciated

If no computers belong to a workgroup (Home or MShome), that workgroup
will automatically go away after a while. There's no explicit way to
make it happen sooner.

You can right-click and un-share any shared drive or folder. You can
right-click and delete any shortcuts to shared drives and folders in
My Network Places.
