By 'Recovery Disk' do you mean the Factory Restore CD that came with your
computer?
I can't be certain but I suspect so because the name of the disk os
recovery and the name of the file 'ghosterr.txt' hints that it might be
needed as part of a process to restore an image of the original disk to the
hard drive. Of cource, this is pure speculation on my part.
Based on the information you've provided I suspect that you may have a
problem with your CD or HD drive.
You should contact your hardware vendor for advice on troubleshooting and
using this recovery disk.
