Recovery Password

is there a way to recover the A.D. recovery password ?
I have the administrator password for the domain but I
lost the A.D. recovery password.
What's happen if I need to recover the domain ?

You do not need to recover it you just need to reset it
Logon while the machine is properly part of the domain with a Domain
Administrator account and use ntdsutil to reset the DSRM password on that or
a remote server.
