Recovery option lost my files

Can someone tell me where the files go to after using the recovery option
 
Depends what / whose recovery option you used.
The nuclear recovery option destroys all data
 
Then that is a recovery type specific to your PC manu, you'd have to read
the FAQ's to see what it does
ie it could give options for 1) Destructive recovery 2) Repair recovery or
similar
 
Tricia - Many computer manufacturers install a "restore" partition which
contains the original applications and programs that came with the computer.
Usually the restore option is initiated by pressing either F10 or F11 at
boot - if this sounds familiar to your situation then any files (data)
created prior to the restore function (after computer put into service) are
gone.
