recovery of pst file

Hi all. I am using outlook 2002. My pst exceed more than 2GB and one day i
could not access it at all from my outlook program. I used scanpst(while my
outlook application is closed) to repair but halfway through the repair it
just say there is an error and the repair stopped and a message saying no
changes made to my pst. I then used a 3rd party software called cutpst to
reduce the size of my corrupted pst file. I managed to access the pst but
some emails and my address bk is missing since the pst is reduced. Is there
any other alternatives from microsoft other than scanpst? Thks in advance.

Using a 2GB PST repair utility usually does damage some of the data in the
PST, since it truncates (removes) part of the PST. You're well off if you
can copy most of the data. Do not continue using the recoverd PST, make one
or more new ones and move your data to them so that neither is overly large.
Make one your new delivery location.
