recovery of .pst file is not working

I am trying to import .pst file into outlook 2000. the
operation is failing at the floder "SUB". It is
saying "could not complete the operation.One or more
parameter values are not valid".
any help in this matter is highly appreciated.

can you open it using file, open, outlook data file? if so, move or copy the
contents instead of using import.

Have you tried to simply open the .PST file in Outlook using File | Open |
Personal Folders File?
