Hi,
Is there a way to recover a hard drive running on
windows xp professional?
This is what happens when I power up:
"Your computer failed to start the last time. This could
be due to a software or hardware problem. Please select
one of these modes:
Safe Mode
Safe mode with networking
Safe mode with command prompt
Last known good configuration
Start Windows normally
If I select 'Last known good configuration' or 'Start
Windows Normally', the computer shows me a new screen
saying
Windows XP Professional Starting ....
And then I am brought back to the original screen showing
all the modes.
If I select any Safe Mode, I get the following output on
the screen:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32
\Drivers\filename.exe
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32
\Drivers\filename1.sys
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\Windows\System32
\Drivers\filename2.sys
.....
(like a screen dump, listing a number of paths similar to
the 3 above)
And then I am brought back to the original screen showing
the modes to be selected.
Needless to say, I am not able to start up.
Please help me to recover my data.
Thanks,
Rizvi
