Recovery Emergency

Please help. I lost an important paper that wasn't saved (i know, iknow, I'm
a idiot). Is there anything I can do? I tried a system recovery, hoping that
might work, but obviously it didn't.

Recovery is thru xp cd,restore is thru IE,try search in my computer.

If you are referring to System Restore, that will do nothing for personal
files since SR is not intended to protect personal data.

First - do nothing that might overwrite the deleted data
