Recovery Disk

I keep getting a message "Low Disk Space you are running out of disk space on
Recovery (D). To free space on this drive....." I go to free space and it
tells me that there's 0 bytes to free. I've made up recovery disks but I'm
still getting this message every five minutes and it's driving me nuts. How
do I shut it off? Thanks

I had this problem on my HP Presario after allowing vista to try to backup to
my D drive as I was prompted. HP instructions were to go to the D drive and
delete everything except RECOVERY. I did that, but still had "low disk space
